Costa Brava
Design and Build a Villa on the Costa Brava
It is named the “Untamed Coast” and for good reason. Cliffs drop sharply to the aquamarine waters of the Mediterranean: secluded tightly enclosed coves with small beaches are stunning and dramatic. Certainly this is one of the most beautiful sectors of the Spanish coastline.
Blanes, Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar are very attractive towns and these days very accessible.
The Costa Brava is an excellent location to design and build a holiday home perhaps later to become a retirement home. There are the international airports of Girona and Barcelona connecting you to the rest of Europe and the world with the Pyrenees on your door step and of course the fabulous Mediterranean.
Buying Land on the Costa Brava
You will find plenty of plots for building a villa and older houses to renovate. As always we strongly recommend you get a team of independent professionals to evaluate the land before you buy and confirm you can achieve your vision both legally and within your budget. Places you might want to check out include:
Tossa de Mar: The medieval walled quarters high on a rocky promontory have lovely vistas of the Mediterranean.
Aiguablava. A precious cove with a small fine sand beach.
Pals: an exceptionally beautiful walled feudal town with medieval mansions that have been fully restored.
Roses : on a beautiful gulf with fine sand beaches founded by the Greeks.
Cadaques: a perfectly stunning setting a hilly bright-white village bursting with flowers on a Mediterranean cove set against the dark backdrop of the Black Mountain.
