My Five Favourite Eco Villas Worldwide
1. Costa Rica “Holiday” villas: very good looking back to nature honeymoon villas in Costa Rica……irresistibly attractive!
“We wanted to prove that being ‘eco’ does not mean we can’t offer beautiful design”….. hear hear!
2. Mexico “Nemi Eco Villa has been architecturally designed to embrace the natural beauty and flow of the property that embraces it while leaving the least impact on the environment as possible.”
Made out of shipping containers with a natural swimming pool and photovoltaic electricity from solar panels.

3. Guatemala El Zur Eco Villas: “open plan design to integrate outdoors with indoors; difficult site access demanded a modular light steel structure; wooden partitions, water decks and shallow bodies of water complete the concept.”
This is a concept only but with many features we love in particular integrating the outdoors and the indoors.
Architect: Juan Lacape
4. Bali Villa Tantangan “Low energy consumption with solar panels and natural ventilation. The residences’ flat roofs are beautiful oases planted with shrubs that provide insulation while helping to integrate the villa into the lush surrounding environment. LED lighting has been incorporated throughout. “
Off grid with a back up generator.
5. Thailand Sun heat light air and water are all elements that are considered in the design to ensure high energy efficiency low maintenance and healthier lifestyle.
Concept only.
