Finland’s Pavillion, Expo ’92, Seville, Spain

Project Information

Architect: Jáaskelainen, Kaakko, Rouhiainen, Sanaksenaho & Tirkkonen

Year: 1992

Our Comments

The building calls attention to Finland’s duality, symbolizing the duplicity between its high industrial development (steel and glass construction) and the care and protection of the environment (Finnish pine cladding), representing the coexistence of two worlds: the natural and the technological.
